The First International Conference on ICT in Education was organized by UNESCO and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in May 2015 in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Chinese President Xi Jinping sent congratulatory message to this conference on which the landmark outcome document Qingdao Declaration was adopted.
Based on 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted in United Nations Summit in November 2015, the Education 2030 Framework for Action, with a vision to achieve “Towards inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning for all”, was approved by UNESCO. This Framework highlights the important and indispensable role of ICT in education development and further proves the great significance of Qingdao Declaration.
Participants to this congress will include representatives from international and regional organizations, experts and scholars in this field, ICT industries, NGOs, online education providers and major ICT in education communities.
